These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of the Geneza School of Design website, courses, learning platform, resources and related services.
By purchasing a course, creating an account, accessing our website or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not purchase or use our services.
1. About Geneza School
Geneza School of Design ("Geneza", "we", "us" or "our") is a design education platform providing online courses, learning resources and related educational services.
These Terms form an agreement between you ("you", "your" or "student") and Geneza School of Design.
2. Course Purchases
When you purchase a course, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and to pay the applicable course fee.
Course prices, course descriptions, available payment options and any specific course terms will be displayed on the relevant course page before you purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, course fees must be paid in full before access is provided.
Your purchase is for your individual use only. You may not purchase a course on behalf of another person unless we have expressly agreed to this.
3. Course Access
Once your payment has been successfully processed, we will provide access to the course according to the access terms stated on the relevant course page.
Course access may be provided immediately or from a specified course start date.
Your access is personal to you and must not be shared, transferred, sold, sublicensed or otherwise made available to another person.
You are responsible for keeping your account login details secure.
If we reasonably believe that an account or course materials are being shared, transferred or misused, we may suspend or terminate access.
Where possible, we will contact you before taking action unless immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect our platform, intellectual property or other students.
4. Course Content
Our courses may include:
Video lessons
Written lessons
Templates and downloadable resources
Design files
Assignments and projects
Community or mentoring access
Software and tool recommendations
Other educational materials
Course content may be updated from time to time to improve the learning experience, reflect changes in design practice or update software and resources.
Where a significant change materially affects the course you purchased, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate the change.
5. Educational Resources
Resources provided as part of a course are supplied for your personal educational use unless a different licence is expressly stated.
You may use course materials to support your own learning and design work, but you may not:
Resell or redistribute Geneza course materials
Upload our materials to another platform or marketplace
Share course files publicly
Repackage our materials as your own course or product
Give another person access to your course account
Remove copyright or ownership information
Use Geneza materials to create a competing educational product without our written permission
Where a third-party resource is included in a course, its use may also be subject to the third party's own terms or licence.
6. Intellectual Property
All original content created by Geneza, including course lessons, videos, written materials, templates, graphics, presentations, downloadable files, branding and other educational materials, remains the intellectual property of Geneza or the relevant rights holder.
Purchasing a course does not transfer ownership of these materials to you.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to access and use the course materials for your own learning and permitted design work.
You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, publish, licence, modify for resale or commercially exploit Geneza's course materials without our prior written permission.
7. Your Own Work
You retain ownership of original work that you independently create during your participation in a Geneza course, subject to any third-party assets, fonts, images, software or other materials incorporated into that work.
If you use assets supplied by Geneza or third parties, you remain responsible for complying with the applicable licence terms.
Geneza does not claim ownership of your original designs simply because you created them as part of a Geneza course.
8. Certificates
Where a course includes a certificate, you may receive a Geneza certificate after meeting the applicable course completion requirements.
Completion requirements may differ between courses and will be communicated as part of the relevant course.
A certificate confirms completion of the relevant Geneza course. It does not represent an academic degree, professional licence or government accreditation unless expressly stated otherwise.
9. Refunds and Cancellation
Our refund policy will be displayed on the relevant course or purchase page where applicable.
Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
For customers purchasing from the UK or other jurisdictions where statutory cancellation rights apply, those rights will apply where required by law.
Where a course involves immediate access to digital content, you may be asked to expressly consent to the digital content being supplied before the end of any applicable cancellation period and acknowledge the effect this may have on your cancellation rights.
If you have a question about a refund or cancellation, please contact us at:
We will assess requests in accordance with the applicable refund policy and consumer protection laws.
10. Course Start Dates and Delays
Some courses may have a scheduled start date, while others may provide immediate access.
Where a course has a stated start date, access will generally begin on or around that date.
We may occasionally need to change a course schedule due to circumstances outside our reasonable control. Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected students and provide updated information.
11. Software and Third-Party Platforms
Some courses may require or recommend third-party software or platforms, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Affinity, Figma, Framer, Jitter or other tools.
Unless expressly stated, these third-party products are not included in the Geneza course fee.
You are responsible for obtaining any required software, subscriptions, accounts or licences.
Geneza is not responsible for changes to, interruptions of or limitations imposed by third-party platforms.
12. Student Conduct
We want Geneza to be a respectful and supportive learning environment.
You agree not to:

Share another person's private information without permission
Disrupt learning communities or sessions
Use Geneza platforms for unlawful activities
Upload malicious software or harmful content
Impersonate another person
Use the platform to promote spam, scams or fraudulent activity
We may restrict or terminate access where a student's conduct seriously breaches these Terms or negatively affects the safety or learning experience of others.
13. Course Community
Where a course includes access to a community, group, Slack workspace or other communication platform, access may be subject to additional community guidelines.
Community access may be removed where a student repeatedly breaches those guidelines or these Terms.
Community access is a supplementary part of the learning experience and may not remain available indefinitely unless the relevant course specifically states otherwise.

Where reasonably possible, we will work to restore affected services.

Our website and courses may contain links to third-party websites, software, tools or resources.
These are provided for convenience and educational purposes.

You should review the terms and privacy policies of third-party services before using them.
17. Student Results
Geneza provides education, training and resources to help you develop your design skills.
However, we cannot guarantee a particular career outcome, income, employment opportunity, client acquisition, business result or level of professional success.
Your results will depend on factors including your effort, practice, experience, portfolio, decisions and circumstances.

18. Our Intellectual Property
The Geneza name, logo, brand identity, website, course materials and other original Geneza content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not use our trademarks, branding or other intellectual property in a way that suggests an affiliation, partnership or endorsement without our written permission.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Geneza will not be responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of our website, courses or services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection laws.

Where changes are necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the service continues to correspond materially with what was advertised at the time of purchase.
Changes required for legal, security, technical or operational reasons may be made without prior notice where reasonably necessary.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The latest version will be published on our website with the date it was last updated.
Changes will apply from the date they are published, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

24. Governing Law
These Terms will be governed by the laws applicable to Geneza School of Design, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you in your country or jurisdiction.
Where applicable law gives you rights that cannot be excluded by contract, those rights remain unaffected by these Terms.
25. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the extent necessary to make it enforceable where possible.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
